First mentioned in 1608 and family-owned since 1908, the inn ?Zum Schwarzen Bären? (The Black Bear) in Emmersdorf in the Wachau has over the years become a first-class hotel and restaurant.
The hotel is a successful combination of traditional inn culture and modern comfort, with cosy, individually furnished rooms, traditional parlours in the historic part and a modern spa centre. The restaurant is widely known for its excellent cuisine combining traditional and lighter, creative dishes.
