Choupana Hills Resort and Spa Hotel

Choupana Hills is a luxurious Resort & Spa nestled on the verdant hillside of Funchal. The development of this project has been inspired by the French architect Michel de Camaret co-jointly with architect- decorator Didler Lefort who designed and decorated the famous Meridien Bora Bora and The Datai in Malaysia. The main features of the buildings are wood and stone, comprised of 34 bungalow-style units built on pillars. Some African and Asian influences can be noticed in the unique decoration of this boutique hotel as well as in other antique pieces sourced from various Portuguese discoveries. The 59 Deluxe rooms and 4 Suites have spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the bay of Funchal or the lush tropical gardens. In the two main buildings you will find facilities such as the reception, restaurant, bars, Spa, lounge, library and conference facilities. The spacious guest rooms, Deluxe rooms (40 qm) and Suites (50 qm), are decorated in a contemporary style with an exotic touch. All rooms have large verandas - 27qm for the suites - with views of the bay of Funchal/Atlantic Ocean or the sub-tropical gardens. Bathroom with separate WC, hair dryer, mini bar, personal safe, television and Internet access. The Suites are also equipped with a heated outdoor Jacuzzi, DVD and HiFi system. The Xopana Restaurant offers its guests exciting, exotic and innovative "fusion" cuisine. In the Basalt Bar, cocktails, drinks and snacks are served throughout the course of the day. The Choupana Hills is very proud of its Health and Beauty Spa which exceeds the most demanding of expectations. Treatments for both the body and mind are offered in a relaxed atmotsphere. We offer Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Rasul, algae wraps, facial treatments, Hot Stone therapy, Shiatsu an authentic Turkish Steam bath and a Sauna. A perfect fusion of rigor and imagination. A conference room (60qm) with a capacity for approximately 35 people in a school type set-up is located in the main building. A courtesy bus service is available to and from the centre of Funchal several times per day.
