España Hotel

The España Hotel is situated in the old part of Barcelona. In the heart of the city, the hotel is located next to the Gran Teatre del Liceu, exactly at the Sant Pau street.
Since España hotel you can arrive to the most famous places of the city, the Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, the Port Vell and the Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter. In addition, a few meters from the hotel you can find some public transport to move anywhere in the city.
The hotel has been renovated and modernized several times, until today, which has become an interlayer space elegance of the early twentieth century, with the modernity of the XXI century. It has 80 rooms, some of which are adapted for disabled guests. Moreover, all have air conditioning, telephone and bathroom.
Decorated by Lluís Domènech i Muntaner, the same architect who designed the Palau de la Musica Catalana, españa hotel is considered one of the jewels of Catalan Modernism. Its wonderful decoration was awarded a prize by the Barcelona City Council in 1904.
